Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Elstow School
We are very proud of our pupils and work hard to ensure we create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where children are comfortable making mistakes, where they try their best and we ensure they learn how to behave in school and in society.
We make sure they all know that they are part of ‘Team Elstow’. The children arrive in school and are welcomed by staff on the playground. This gives everyone a chance to settle, chat with friends and prepare themselves for the day ahead. Children complete retrieval and Do Now tasks in the early part of the day and are reminded of the need to ‘Work Hard and Be Nice’.
Our cohesive and professional teaching team works hard to know every child and ensure every part of the school day is happy, healthy and as safe as possible.
We have strong pastoral support who are available to catch up with any family issues affecting attendance or attainment in school. The leadership team are always available morning and afternoon to discuss any other successes or worries. We are all very passionate about our curriculum offer and happy to discuss content at any point. For timetabling, class concerns, attendance or medical issues please contact the school office.
I am very proud to be the Principal of Elstow School; I believe that all our children are entitled to the very best curriculum which drives our aim to develop a love of learning and to inspire children to be curious, resilient and to persevere to succeed.
The academic achievement and happiness and mental wellbeing of our pupils is very important to the whole team at Elstow.
With very best wishes,
